la Bergerie Large Gite and Chalet

La Bergerie is a fabulous large property with a self-contained five bedroomed gite, that sleeps 11, and a self catering chalet that sleeps up to 4 people . A 5 acre garden to the rear, but is only one mile to the town centre of Chàtellerault (pop 39000). with its many restaurants, cafés, markets and shops, and only three minutes to the nearest supermarket.

The standard of accommodation is high, with quality beds, and three ensuite bedrooms. The property is fully enclosed by a five acre child friendly garden, with secure car parking. A wonderful 12m heated pool, a health suite with sauna, gym equipment, changing rooms and showers. Equipment is available and free of charge for badminton, volleyball, ping pong, basketball, baseball and boules. Garden furniture and a barbeque is available for you to relax and eat outside or enjoy a glass of wine.

La Bergerie is situated 5 minutes from the A10 motorway half way between Paris and Bordeaux, making it the ideal location to discover the Loire Valley and the Vienne by car, or visit Paris for the day by the train (TGV) in only 90 minutes. There is a beautiful beach at the local resort of St Cyr, with sailing, canoeing and wind surfing available, overlooked by an excellent golf course. A day trip to the Atlantic coast is easy too as its only 90 minutes away.

The entrance is by 5 stairs into the

spacious hallway with a wide staircase

to one side and the entrance to the

kitchen and lounge. There is also a handy

little downstairs toilet.

The sunny lounge overlooks the countryside and opens onto the dining room.

The doors lead into the conservatory which overlooks the garden and is a peaceful spot for a quiet coffee and a book.

The dining room (below) is large with optional seating arrangements to suit your needs. There is a large bookcase with lots of tourist brochures of things to do in the area, maps and games. The bookcase in the hall has books and more games.

This modern kitchen overlooks the garden. It is fully equipped with a dishwasher, sink with mixer tap, electric 4 ring touch control hob, extractor hood, electric multi-function oven with timer, microwave, large fridge with freezer compartment, breakfast bar and a washing machine.

VIEW FROM THE TWO 1ST FLOOR BEDROOMS

Up the newly carpeted oak staircase on the first floor are 3 bedrooms.
This lovely double bedroom has glazed doors leading to a small balcony with panaramic views over open countryside,
and a second windowoverlooking the chestnut tree. It has an en-suite bathroom. There is a wardrobe and bedside chest of drawers. Internet connection and a ceiling fan.

4 POSTER BEDROOM

This room now has twin single beds with double glazed doors leading to a small balcony. It has an en-suite bathroom. A table and two chairs with internet connection, pine cabinet and a large ceiling fan.
The single ensuite bedroom (right) overlooks the garden and the swimming pool, and has a comfortable single bed with a single guest pull-out bed undeneath,a large bedside chest of drawers and open wardrobe. Internet connection with a small table.

ONE OF TWO 2ND FLOOR BEDROOMS

On the second floor there are two bedrooms which share a large shower room with wash hand baison and a seperate toilet with wash hand baison. One bedroom has three large single beds, a wardrobe two large bedsides. The second bedroom has large twin pine beds , wardrobe, bedside and a small table and chairs. Both bedrooms overlook the fields at the front. On the landing there is a desk with internet connection. This floor has just been newly carpetted with quality carpets and underlay.
